Lehmann 1986, S52: sihw (not siƕ) or sihu (as by Uppström, Streitberg, ed 1919-28 I:277) victory, gloss to sigis in 1C 15.57B is unexplained. Braune 1908 LGRP [Literaturblatt für Germanische und Romanische Philologie] 29:327 took it as a meaningless test of the quill; Friesen 1927: 11f assumed the numeral 18, ie ih, with decoration; Streitberg, ed 1919-28 I:277 maintains sihw.
